ThejUS: Giving back to the Community

ThejUS is the UST Community Care Initiative that is carried out across the U.S. and India. It has a singular mission of "Coloring the Community with Care". ThejUS was first established at our Trivandrum facility and was registered as a charitable trust under the Government of India on 18 February 1999. It encourages UST employees to contribute to and participate in activities aimed at improving their communities. Across North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe, ThejUS responds to the needs of its communities through various ongoing initiatives by mobilizing its own resources and by associating with individuals and organizations that work for fulfilling their responsibility toward their communities.

ThejUS Trivandrum has the mission of ensuring that the charity initiatives of associates reach the society. They actively provide assistance to hospitals, schools, and orphanages. Prathibha Poshini is a charity organization run by ThejUS Trivandrum to help brilliant students from indigent families. Volunteers conduct computer classes for students and also provide advanced training for senior students. For more details visit: www.prathibhaposhini.com. ThejUS Trivandrum also carries out charity initiatives at the Medical College Hospital, Abhaya Mental Hospital, Asraya Cancer patient Help Centre, and Karunyalayam Polio Home—all at Trivandrum—and assist various NGOs in their efforts to improve the general well-being of the society.

At Chennai, ThejUS Chennai, is actively involved in similar activities with the purpose of providing assistance to those in their society who need reassurance and support— financial or emotional—to overcome various challenges of life.

In the United States, ThejUS, US works hand-in-hand with clients in initiating charitable activities at hospitals, schools, and organizing blood donation drives.

Wherever we are, we honor our social responsibility and dedicate ourselves to contributing toward the betterment of society.
