US Technology Appoints Tony Velleca as New Corporate CIO

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – October 1, 2007 – US Technology, a leading provider of IT
services and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions for Global 2000 enterprises,
announced today the appointment of Tony Velleca as the corporate Chief Information
Officer (CIO).
As CIO, Velleca will ensure that US Technology information services and applications
meet the rigorous growth goals the company has set for itself while also integrating
those systems into a single information services environment. Velleca has created
and will manage the US Technology applications roadmap through 2010, which focuses
on establishing a world class information system to manage knowledge, decision-support
information and competency development as well as to deliver the utmost in productivity
gains.
"Tony’s multiple accomplishments have left a significant imprint on the company
since he joined in 2000. In his most recent position as vice president of enterprise
solutions, he was responsible for creating and maturing the solution frameworks
and associated competencies that has allowed the company to achieve high standards
of client service," said Sajan Pillai, COO, US Technology. "He also oversaw the
implementation of the global PeopleSoft ERP and Innotas enterprise project management
initiatives. Tony is a tremendous asset to have on our team."
Velleca brings more than 15 years experience in the software and services business
backed by an extensive understanding of business operations and a strong commitment
to operational excellence. He has more than 14 years experience in the design of
advanced technology products, including 12 years in managing global teams for offshore
development.
Prior to joining US Technology, he was the founder and chief technology officer
at huddle247 which developed a virtual workspace solution that was ranked by PC
Magazine as one of the top solutions in 2000. During his four-year tenure at huddle247,
Velleca grew the firm into a stand-alone, global business. Before huddle247, he
was with The Boeing Company (previously McDonnell Douglas) for 10 years.
He has a bachelor of science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute
of Technology and an MBA, with honors, from the University of California, Irvine.
