Bill Wray is Group Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Citizens
Financial Group. Wray manages Citizens Services Group, the enterprise technology
and operations arm of Citizens, which includes over 4,000 employees. He is a member
of the Executive Management Committee, the company's senior management team. As
CIO, Wray is responsible for integrating the technical and operational aspects of
all acquisitions, and for managing large system initiatives such as branch Platform
and Teller Automation and Enterprise Imaging. He also oversees all core processing
functions for Citizens Bank and its affiliates in the U.S. and is the Executive
Champion for Citizens' Six Sigma initiative.

Wray joined Citizens in 1993 and became CIO in 2000. Prior to that, he was with
Shawmut Bank. In addition to technology and operations, his banking experience includes
senior roles in credit and risk management. Before his banking assignments, Wray
served as an Army officer and worked in commercial real estate investment. A 1980
graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he received a master's
degree in engineering from Stanford University, attending under the auspices of
a National Science Foundation Fellowship. He currently serves on the Board's of
the Providence Performing Arts Center, Amos House, and Crossbeam Systems, Inc.

NASSCOM's Emerging Companies Forum hosted for the first time in Kerala by UST
|
In a first of its kind initiative, UST conducted a seminar in collaboration with
NASSCOM's Emerging Companies Forum on the topic: 'Creating a Client Centric Delivery
Organization'. This event took place on the afternoon of 6th October 2006
at Park Center, Technopark, Trivandrum.
The NASSCOM Emerging Companies Forum focused on how IT can help businesses get increased
return of investment (ROI). It also dealt with the strategic shift that information
technology has seen over the last decade: from being viewed as a solution provider
to being realized as a business partner.
The NASSCOM Emerging Companies Forum showcased a panel of eminent industry speakers.
Partha Iyengar, Research VP, Gartner, spoke on "IT value enhancement through Effective
and Efficient delivery of quality IT Services". Sankar Krishnan, Former Partner,
McKinsey, shared his thoughts on "Building a High Performance Client Facing Organization".
G. Vijayaraghavan, CEO, Venture Management Associates & Founder-CEO, Technopark,
shared his views on "Moving from Tier 1 to Tier 2 and enhancing the quality of services".
Arun Narayanan, Vice President-Global Delivery, UST spoke on "Building competitive
advantage by operational excellence". In a lively interactive session, Anand Parthasarathy,
Consulting Editor, The Hindu summed up the interactions of the Forum with his distinctive
brand of humor.
In his keynote address, Partha Iyengar said that the IT Outsourcing segments are
expected to grow to $266 billion in 2009 from $191 billion in 2004. He pointed out
that in this scenario, the biggest markets are the US, UK, Western Europe, Japan
and Australia, of which Western Europe is the fastest growing segment. Representing
the UST presence, Arun Narayanan said that Companies in emerging IT hubs like Kerala
are now setting new standards of services excellence for global clients. The Client
Intimacy Model, he added will help emerging companies to set these standards.
The NASSCOM Emerging Companies Forum was marked by its exclusive audience comprising
CEOs, IT professionals and representatives of leading media organizations in India.

held on May 18, 2006 at Orange County. Competing with over 300 companies for the

UST At ITKerala 2006
UST was proud to be the Silver Sponsors of ITKerala 2006 event which was held between
31 January and 04 February 2006 in Kochi (Kerala).
Competing with major IT companies in our space, UST took ITKerala by storm, by bagging
"Best Stall" and "Best IT Recruiter" awards. The awards were handed out in a special
valedictory function held in Kochi (Kerala).
UST was the biggest recruiter at the Job Mart attended by upwards of 25,000 candidates.

UST was a Gold sponsor for the Mercury World Conference 1999 - 2006 which was held
between 9 to 12 October in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show was extremely well attended
with over 2000 attendees from all over the world including some well known companies
that are existing clients of UST. The show proved to be very successful in both
strengthening our partnership with Mercury Interactive as well as obtaining good
solid interest from new prospects with over 150 attendees visiting our both during
the day as well as some good meetings and discussions during the track sessions
and evening networking events.
